Before and after: Andrea Apartment
We review the Andrea Apartment refurbishment in a home connected with luxury and exclusivity. It is a spacious house with a decoration in gold tones that connects it with elegance and sophistication.
A dream home where abundant space and natural light are the main values on which to develop a complete interior design project full of details. We explain the whole process to you.
The Andrea Apartment is an exclusive property located in the neighbourhood of El Viso, in Madrid. It is a flat that receives many hours of natural light. The night area faces north while the bedrooms face south.
Golden tones are omnipresent throughout the flat. It is a tone that brings sophistication, luxury and a very particular personal touch. Elegance and timeless design were essential requirements.
At the express wish of the owners, a clear separation between the day and night areas was sought. And the interior design project by Molins Design takes this demand into account right from the entrance hall. In this space there is a division with a completely open day area and a rest area that is sheltered behind an imposing door.
Fortunately the availability of square metres facilitated the creation of a spacious day area with different atmospheres. The living area houses an L-shaped armchair, the television and a splendid, fully integrated bookcase. The special feature of the bookcase is that it is made up of decorative niches with a gold-plated back-lit back.
Here, the desk area is located directly in front of a large window. The light is filtered by domotically operated louvred curtains. A lounge area is also designed and created, ideal for spending time with the family. A sofa and armchairs arranged in the form of a stalls are the ideal place to listen to family members playing the wall-mounted piano that is also located in the area. The light, ochre and golden tones continue with a luxurious metal decoration.
The kitchen is semi-open plan and includes a central island for breakfast and meals. In this space, the integrated appliances are state-of-the-art and the décor features shades of pink, sand and black.
The suite is one of the most spectacular areas of the Andrea Apartment. There are 3 clearly differentiated spaces: bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Large wardrobes with neutral and golden tones are included. The bathroom includes a central island in dark marble with mirrors up to the ceiling.
The youngsters’ bedrooms combine oak furniture with a headboard as a shelf for the son. And for the daughter, a personalised space with a neutral colour scheme was chosen. Both bedrooms have been carefully designed in detail and include totally personalised elements such as the headboard, the textiles and the study areas.
