Some time ago, from our facet of interior architecture, we talked about the combination of architecture and smart homes. Today the term home automation technology, or home automation system for a smart home, is widespread. On a greater or lesser scale, almost anyone would know how to define it broadly. However, there are specific functions that you may not know, as well as their main benefits. Let’s see the advantages of joining architecture and technology!

The two main advantages of a smart home

Light and energy

Smart homes in lighting gives us great advantages at many levels. But, above all, as far as saving is concerned. Being able to program all appliances at a distance and at the hours that interest us, can save us between 50 and 70% of the energy we consume. Therefore, we are facing the first proof that by joining architecture and home automation we achieve savings. And, consequently, we will also be more ecological.

Architecture and smart homes: Safeness

The intelligent architecture allows us to avoid or react to any emergency situation. You can act before absolutely everything; a robbery, a fire, a flood, etc. The fact of being able to control our house through an application allows us to act against all emergencies.

How a home automation works: our Smart home partner, DomoAlfred

When in Molins Design we combine architecture and smart homes system, this second part goes hand in hand with DomoAlfred. It is a Catalan company that designs Smart Homes or home automation exclusively and adapted to the needs of each client. Why? Good, because each person and each house are different. In fact, they offer solutions for each household member, in order to provide comfort and maximum energy efficiency in a personalized way. DomoAlfred also integrates an intelligent irrigation system into its SmartHomes. Through humidity sensors, it detects the level of accumulated water from rainfall, thus avoiding the activation of unnecessary automatic irrigation and turning the house into a more sustainable home. All this with a special taste as far as interior design is concerned.
