Before and after: Mila Apartment

Want to know closely the before and after the house renovation in Barcelona Mila Apartment? This house, located in the upper area of the city, becomes a jewel of interior design. A project in which our team of interior designers and decorators has carried out a partial reform of different areas of the house.
The main objective of our client was to convert the day areas, living room and dining room, next to the hall and the master suite in much more practical and functional spaces. After the pandemic, the daily habits of our client and his family changed, so his home was somewhat obsolete. For this reason, the owner of the InProcess offices contacted us again. This time, to carry out a new reform in his domestic space.
Keys to reform
We started with the reform of the hall or entrance hallway to the house. In order to increase the feeling of spaciousness of the hall, we placed different glass panels on either side of the wall. An elegant and functional option, as it also serves as a small dressing table to give that last look at our outfit before leaving home.
The communication of the hall with the living-dining room is practically direct, although to differentiate both spaces, we took the opportunity to make a niche in one of the pillars columns of the house. This hole in the wall is presided over by a very interesting piece of art, which combines in shape and color with what we are going to find in the rest of the room.
Already in the living room, we find a room that breathes wellness and comfort in equal parts. All this, thanks to the combination of white colors and toasted tones chosen for the furniture and textiles. In this room, the house has a large living room with fireplace that was completely renovated. The property asked us for an organizational change; a fireplace that worked as a heating system, but also gave us an answer to store all the audio and video systems of the house.
Another of the key pieces of the intervention was the reform of the bookcase, made entirely of white lacquered wood and backlit. In this practical and functional living room we also found other elements for family gatherings, such as a piano and various decorative accessories in earth tones. A set of decorative elements that offer a plus of sophistication to the house.
The same white and toasted tones have been used to choose the dining table and chairs. A meeting furniture on which we find the two protagonists of the space: two hanging designer lamps of the brand Vibia.
Finally, in the master suite of the house we made a large dressing room in natural oak wood. Special mention should be made of the backlit double-height ceiling of the dressing room; a reform that helps to frame and give the importance it deserves to each closet and storage area. Playing with mirrors, we also chose to cover the front door to the main bathroom of the bedroom.

Join us this time, on the House Tour of our latest project Mila Apartment. This new domestic intervention is a clear response to this recent and important need to make our home a balanced and harmonious space.
