Before and after: Marbella Apartment

Today we come to explain our last reform for an apartment in Marbella, whose owners are considered a real passionate about art and design. A project whose main objective was to make the most of the natural light of the house. In addition to highlighting each and every one of the artistic and decorative pieces owned by the inhabitants of the house. All this, using natural wood cladding.
Do you want to know more about this transformation? We tell you all about it!
We are talking about an apartment located in the historic center of Marbella, something to take into account, since a thorough work of rehabilitation and rearrangement of spaces was carried out. The house had a very complex floor plan distribution, full of angles that required a new order.
Therefore, a meeting between horizontal distribution and vertical arrangement was made. But there was also a strong work of updating the materials that make up the house, as well as the implementation and innovation of spaces with the latest technologies in home automation.
First we started by creating an entrance hallway, capable of articulating all the spaces of the apartment; on the one hand, the day area, and on the other, the more private spaces or night area. It is key to highlight decorative accessories that attract attention from the first moment, such as the sculpture by Jaume Plensa that presides over the entrance hall.
The kitchen is perhaps the most modern space in the apartment, where the most innovative technology combines perfectly with the black color and wood. Among some of the most interesting pieces are a backlit glass dinnerware cabinet, a spectacular wine fridge and a state-of-the-art concealed induction system.
The material that stands out above all is wood. Marbella Apartment has different natural wood coatings, both on walls and floors and ceilings, thus dressing each of the rooms of the house.
In the living room stands out the sculptural library, which was previously a column in the middle of the room, and that decoratively did not add anything to the space. The living room is presented as an open space, in which the entry of natural light is maximized and in which wood is once again the protagonist, both in furniture and in walls, floors and ceilings.
In the night area we find a master suite, two bedrooms for the children and a third guest room. These spaces follow the same decorative line as the rest of the rooms in the house, with wood also being the main protagonist.
