CASADECOR INTERIOR DESIGN 2010
CASADECOR INTERIOR DESIGN INTERVENTION IN THE HEART OF PEDRALBES
An extensive building previously destined to be a school of the ONCE association, located in the neighborhood of Pedralbes, was the site chosen for the 2010 edition of Casadecor Barcelona.
The route as a "blind date" proposed by the organization, had a mandatory stop in the loft projected by our studio, located in space 15, located just on the left side of the entrance of the building.
After crossing the threshold of the access door to the Molins space, the visitor experienced a peculiar "blind date" that transported him to a universe inspired by one of the great classics of the cinema of the 60s, equally intriguing, as were the films of the James Bond saga at the time when the mythical Sean Connery played the role as protagonist.
In this way this source of inspiration, gave the Molins team, "license to create" on the 56m2 destined to the space, a loft in which the living room, dining room and kitchen were merged comfortably in a single room in which the noble materials, together with the curvilinear shapes used in the design of the furniture, and together with a chromatic range based on toasted, beige, camel and pure white colors, they moved us without realizing the scenarios recreated for the 007 films, reinterpreted by Molins Interiors in an updated version of the time.
The peculiar curvilinear forms of the decade were a common denominator used for the design of the living room and dining room furniture, as in the sofas, chairs, table and armchairs, which flow in perfect consonance with the swarming form used for the creation of sliding screens, which serve to provide greater privacy and space.
LIBRARY WITH HISTORY!
In the lounge area, its particular custom-designed library stood out, in combination with original oak parquet slats recovered from old Austrian and German convents, together with irregularly arranged niches, made of black lacquered iron with black smoked rear mirrors.
The kitchen furniture of the Molins Kitchens open to the living room and arranged in an L shape, was a special combination of different cabinets that hid behind glass sometimes matte finish and other transparent, pantry furniture, vajilleros or refrigerators wines, among others. All arranged around a central island destined to the water and cooking zone, unified by an envelope of black granite in combination with camel lacquered oak furniture.
