We executed this exclusive interior design project in Madrid, a duplex located in the neighborhood of El Viso.
The project originated in a peculiar new construction building, in which we were able to intervene in the design and distribution from a first phase of executive plans. We had generous dimensions so we had a wide range of possibilities.
The proposal is distributed in two floors, where in its first level is the whole servies area and daily use. While in the upper one, there is a bright and elegant room next to an office and a large terrace that occupies a large part of the roof.
The greatest uniqueness of the proposal is in the concept created to unite both floors, where the upper one connects with a privileged urban terrace located on the roof of the building, a typology of habitable space that if the correct solutions are provided, there are very great areas. In this case we created a multifunctional space with pool, garden and a chill out area next to a dining room and barbecue.
In this outdoor area we integrated sun protection elements of different types to enable it to be used, a common practice in the outdoor spaces of our Mediterranean homes due to weather conditions. We use brisoleys, blinds, screens, etc.
SINGULAR DAILY LIFE
The first floor of this house, where the areas of daily use are located, was a canvas to be completed. In it we have poured our creativity and knowledge to provide a unique and elegant program the day to day of their owners.
A magical corridor, completely opaque, gives way to the different rooms through the sophisticated handles that emulate bronze staffs. Among her the suite, which deserves mention to part.
The design of lighting is very special, combining and playing with direct light, indirect, splashes, spots, strips of LEDs and lamps of various kinds, which allows the house at night to decorate and show its more theatrical and suggestive side
One of the most cared and sophisticated spaces of the home. The dressing room and the bedroom share the same space where care for details and neatness in the finishes have defined the script to follow.
The bathroom suite is accessed through sliding doors covered with an aged mirror. Once inside, the total presence of white Carrara marble floods the senses and makes this bathroom a majestic place, where the only differentiating element is the furniture finished in gloss lacquer, container of those utensils that require daily use.
The house has a home automation control system that allows us to control all rooms with a single click. Different applications allow us to access temperature, enclosures, lighting, audio and video systems, among others.
Technology is also very present in the division between the kitchen and the living room, where two large sliding doors allow us to sift the glass and increase the level of privacy between both spaces.
The transition between two architectural floors is always a good place to propose original solutions. In this case it was a key point to solve in this project and it has become one of the jewels of the house.
Built in two sections, the first one acts as a shelving stand fully integrated into the space, while the second breaks with this concept, providing lightness and suspension, accompanied by a metal and wood handrail.
THE NEW ENTRANCE
In its origin, the entrance was too exposed to the rest of the home. We provide the solution of placing a screen created by vertical pieces of wood that go from floor to ceiling, separating but not completely hiding and creating a suggestive game that increases our interest in the space that we are going to find next.
THE BAR CLOSET
A large piece of marble covers and hides the bar furniture located in the living room. Its dimensions and the contrast with dark wood create an atmosphere that invites leisure and enjoyment.
The backlit shoe rack and the showcase with removable tray of the suite are the great exponents of the retail references in this house.
MADRID AS MEDITERRANEAN
Another very Mediterranean element is the connection of water with architecture as a decorative source and in the pool. We emphasize the continuity of materials between the pavement of the terrace and the interior of the pool, thus creating a uniform surface.
