Kitchen’s design
For Molins Design, kitchen design is one of the priorities when it comes to tackling a renovation project. Undoubtedly, we are aware of the importance of the room. That was the reason that led us to take a step forward and place kitchen design as one of our priorities.
The first phase was to disassociate ourselves from the usual brands we were working with. The second stage was to incorporate kitchen design into our daily work.
The aim was to aesthetically integrate this room into the overall domestic space. Today, we can say that kitchen design is one of our specialities.
Practical and comfortable kitchen designs
With our kitchen designs we have sought to move away from standardisation and the fixed, corseted clichés of industrial modulation. We have worked hard and created surprising and ingenious kitchen designs. One of our goals has been to come up with ideas for kitchen refurbishments that would make kitchens practical and comfortable. To this end, custom-made solutions have become the cornerstone of our projects.
At Molins Design we seek to design a space that is comfortable and functional. A kitchen is a space of daily use where the whole family passes through.
This is where you cook, chat, play with your children, disconnect from everyday stress and even work. At the same time, we do not forget the practical and fundamental aspect: in a kitchen you prepare food and eat.
Our aim is to meet the needs of functionality, practicality and comfort. Without forgetting the aesthetic and pleasant fit. For all these reasons, we are going to take a closer look at a series of key factors that play a decisive role in kitchen design.
Open or closed kitchens?
We are facing one of the great debates that has arisen in interior design. For years, professionals have been offering advantages and disadvantages of open or closed kitchens.
The truth is that over the last few years, designs have favoured open-plan kitchens. Certainly, interior designers have seen this option as the most practical and functional. These are kitchens with free access and continuous connection with the living room or other rooms. It facilitates communication and visual contact between people in the house. No one is isolated on the other side of the wall.
However, there are still advocates of closed kitchens and many of them have opted for the advantages of using glass walls to separate the rooms and therefore the kitchen. This dispenses with the need for masonry walls and opts for total visibility.
The result is kitchens that are brighter and offer a more spacious feel. In the same way, the glass isolates the noises that may come from the kitchen and retains the smells that may be produced by daily cooking.
At Molins Design we have incorporated glass panels into our designs and have achieved total aesthetic integration.
Kitchens with functional design
Another important factor when planning a kitchen renovation is the layout. It is important to spend time thinking about the best way to distribute the space. Placing the electrical appliances in the right way will avoid wasting time when it comes to placing the kitchenware.
The same happens with the furniture: if we get the layout right, it will be easier to organise the pantry. At Molins Design we work on an appropriate allocation of resources that will lead us to optimise our work in the kitchen. In this way we will achieve a functional and comfortable kitchen design.

Kitchen worktops
The design, measurement and installation of kitchen worktops also give rise to many questions. How high should the kitchen worktop be? Which material is best? These are some of the questions that come up again and again when it comes to kitchen design.
In addition, you have to decide between the wide variety of materials available on the market. It is important to know their characteristics, their pros and cons. The choice must be made between marble, chipboard or laminate worktops, stainless steel, granite or the well-known Silestone.
At Molins Design we work with all possible options and we offer you tailor-made solutions for your space. Similarly, we adapt the aesthetics of the design to the material you choose for your worktop.
Kitchen design with island
We have already pointed out that comfort is one of the priorities in the kitchen. However, this characteristic should not be at odds with aesthetics. Ideally, both qualities should merge. This perfect symbiosis occurs when you decide to design a kitchen with a central island.
The island or worktop is usually placed in the centre of the space. In this way, it becomes a functional and aesthetic element.
The functionality is clear because it is a place to work, without taking up space near the sinks or the hot zone. Aesthetics are covered because the kitchen designs provide splendid and highly decorative islands.

Materials for optimal kitchen design
For Molins Design, what you see in a kitchen is as important as what you don’t see. Therefore, since our beginnings, we have considered it of the utmost importance to choose the best materials for a kitchen. Whether it is wood, PVC, stainless steel or different types of marble, we will design a reliable, solid, tidy and well laid out space.
Furthermore, we have always worked together with the best brands of electrical appliances to try to achieve the highest quality standards. Why? The answer is easy.
We believe that the kitchen is still the room in the house where the highest technical requirements and technological performance are likely to be demanded. High-quality dishwashers, glass-ceramic hobs, fridges, ovens and taps are essential. For this reason, at Molins Design we know that the best kitchen designs have reliable and long-lasting electrical appliances.
Design kitchens with basic details
Modern kitchen design must combine aesthetics with functionality. In other words, a beautiful kitchen is of little use if it is not practical. At Molins Design we create kitchen designs that combine an attractive finish with the basic elements of a modern and functional kitchen.
This means that we include in the project accessories and parts such as kitchen counters, built-in hobs or decorative lighting that provide comfort and aesthetic appeal. In this way, we will have a beautiful and well-equipped kitchen.
