Gora Apartment
From the living-dining room, which we designed for this spectacular house located in one of the most exclusive coastal areas of the Costa Brava region, we can enjoy fantastic views of s’Agaró’s bay.
The interior space of this house, gathering up to 110 m2, together with the 70 m2 terraces, make it a real gem for a large family to enjoy the summer and vacations in a dream location.
Beach house decoration in s'Agaró
One of the main objectives of the renovation was to transform the old distribution of the apartment, which had not been renovated since its origins, into an updated floor plan, taking maximum advantage of the fantastic views of the bay of s’Agaró from all its spaces, as well as the natural light coming from the outside.
Having this premise in mind, we decided to open spaces such as the kitchen, integrating it to the living-dining room area with an open pass-through-type bar. This element has the versatility of being able to “hide” and become independent with the simple gesture of lowering a decorative stamped screen, which contains an early-20th-century old archive image of S’Agaró’s bay.
A Mediterranean style living room
The design of this living area, invites you to relax and contemplate the fabulous views.
To obtain this effect we proposed this Mediterranean style space where we added some pieces of a new rustic character, such as the coffee table or a set of trestles with a rustic top, in harmony with other more contemporary elements, such as the custom-made library designed by our team, with shelves in the form of niches in varnished oak.

Fabrics and textures are really important in this space. The choice of the sofa upholstery fabric and the sheers, made of 100% linen, or the carpet, made of natural fibers, add naturalness to a more than comfortable living room.
The original kitchen of this house was an independent space, where you were not able to enjoy the privileged views; so we decided to radically transform it to create a bar that is connected with the living and dining room, as a way to pass the dishes, in which we installed a screen with a printed photograph of an old image of the bay of S’Agaró from the early twentieth century.
To integrate the structural column that was inevitably halfway between the kitchen and the dining room, we covered it with a mirror on all four sides, so that it would be somehow camouflaged.
An open kitchen?
Digital resources for decorative projects
For some years now, interior design and decoration professionals have been able to enjoy new technologies to improve the creativity of our projects.
This new generation of digital resources can be seen in this type of solutions, such as the one we apply in the screen that separates the kitchen and the dining room or in other formats, like wallpapers or murals that we use to cover the walls with high-definition images, as a decorative proposal full of impact.

The terraces that run along much of the perimeter of the house and occupy an area of 70m2 are one of the great jewels of this project.
Right at the exit of the living and dining room we located an outdoor dining area, consisting of a bench with upholstered seats and backs, and a table with white aluminum chairs, an environment designed to enjoy the priceless views.
"Thanks to the fantastic views we managed to create a unique and unrepeatable relaxation area".
Furthermore, on the terrace we opted to create a chill-out area, based on the chaise longue Maia, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Kettal.
The design of the handcrafted braiding, the solidity of the aluminum structure and the collection of porotex and chenille fabrics create a combination full of energy, perfect for this type of environment.
Terrace with views

Another great example of making the most of the views and natural light is in the master suite where both the bed, the bathroom countertop and the shower are located in front of the terrace and the sea views.
The role of textiles
In Molins Design we pay special attention to the fabrics we select for our interior design projects, as we can see in the composition of this bedroom.
The mixture of printed and plain fabrics offers us a very elegant chromatic continuity.

To design the last double bedroom of the house we chose neutral tones for the base and also for the upholstered headboard, composed of 5 wall soffits which were custom-made by our team, to which we added textile accessories in black and white, as contrasting elements.
