Bella Terrace
In Bella Terrace we have opted for the creation of a shaded space using the well-known bioclimatic roofs of the Kettal brand. This is an extruded aluminium element that creates different slats or folding sheets that allow the solar radiation to be modulated.
The reason why we installed this type of pergola on the terrace of this wonderful house is because it allowed us a wide versatility to protect us from the sun and rain. Something that is vital to be able to fully enjoy a dream terrace.
How to renovate a terrace with a pergola
The Bella Terrace project is one of our best works in terms of outdoor terrace design. In this space we had to give an answer on how to reform a terrace with a pergola in a simple way and adapted to the style of the rest of the house. In fact, when we visited the space, we already noted that the terrace was linked to a two-storey detached house, which also had a basic porch and a small dining room.
Renovating a terrace with a pergola is no easy task. Therefore, our team of architects and decorators divided the space into two different areas.
The first space becomes the ideal place to enjoy and appreciate each and every one of the pleasures of a good meal. In this dining area, a tailor-made barbecue was installed, which is linked – in terms of design and decoration – to the main kitchen of the house. We also worked on the creation of a dining room for 8-10 people, with the ideal furniture to create a very comfortable and intimate place.
The second space is a chill out area in which we placed a series of L-shaped sofa furniture. This place was created to enjoy long after-dinner conversations with the family, or to have a drink in the evening with friends.
Outdoor living area
On the wooden floor from the Pavilions collection by Kettal, we added seating pieces from the same firm, such as the corner sofas and armchairs from the Bitta series, in green, to which we added decorative cushions in a coral tone to provide a very flattering set of chromatic contrasts to the living area.
Instead of the traditional coffee table, we chose this unique piece, also by Kettal, for its versatility, as it can be used as a design brazier in the coldest months of the year and as a coffee table, by adding the top that covers the area for the firewood.
The two pouffes, in green and coral, are also from the outdoor furniture and equipment specialist Kettal.

The best lighting and a high quality technical floor
For the lighting, we had a type of light already configured and chose other auxiliary design lamps, such as the Mate floor lamp in white polyethylene by Metalarte. Different spotlights or light pegs were also used to point out small elements in the garden and/or terrace.
With regard to the chosen flooring and in order to obtain the best result, a raised floor was used to create a perfect planimetry between the furniture and the different pieces on display on the terrace. A type of paving that undoubtedly helps us to move around the outdoor space in a comfortable and well-configured way.
