This project was commissioned by one of our most loyal clients, who recommended us to his relatives to decoration for the day area of a luxury Barcelona apartment

The clients need to completely renovate the day area of their home to adapt it to a more modern style and their current living needs. The clients’ wish was to make a total renovation and a luxury interior decoration to turn their home into a small oasis of privacy where quiet luxury and visual harmony reign.

At the technical level, one of the highlights in this project of renovation and decoration day area apartment Barcelona was the incorporation of a sophisticated type of sliding doors Lualdi that allow to close the access to the kitchen and / or living area from the hall.

A solution that allows the optimization of space and at the same time, isolate the different rooms as appropriate providing greater privacy. The smoked tone of the glass and the black profiles contribute to creating a warm autumn living room decor.

Upon entering the living area, we are greeted by an elegant dining area, which undoubtedly becomes the most sophisticated space with luxury interior decorations.

In the dining area stands out the majestic marble table made to measure for the project. A stylish round table with the entire structure entirely made of a refined marble of raw tones that make it a unique piece of sculptural character.

The dining area is framed thanks to the presence of the circular-shaped trough that has been designed in the same diameter as the area occupied by the table and armchairs.

The powerful marble table is accompanied by sinuous armchairs made of soft sheepskin fabric and complemented by practical golden handles.

To enhance the beauty of this special corner, a suspended console table with straight lines was designed in the same zebrawood as the living room library. A wood and marble decor that allows the whole set of furniture to be visually coherent and in harmony.

The gold decoration adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to this special corner, thanks to the delicate lamp in champagne tones by Terzani that presides over the table.

Another detail that contributes to create a warm autumn living room decor in this living area and also brings warm colors for the decor is the textured raffia wallpaper that becomes the perfect canvas to cover the walls of this warmly decorated living area.

Another of the pieces designed and custom-made by the studio for this renovation and interior design for the day area of a luxury apartment in Barcelona is the coffee table composed of two modules at different levels.

The circular base serves as support for the upper module in the form of an ellipse that protrudes from one side. A design piece worked in bronze-colored stainless steel and with a black lacobel surface that adds the right dose of sophistication to the living room.

The silk curtains bring harmony, creating an interesting game of contrasts through some falls that allow sifting the light inside and also contribute to a pleasant feeling of acoustic comfort along with the warm autumn living room decor.

In terms of lighting, we have played with different elements. Indirect lights, plastering, decorative lamps, and we have also complemented the bet with small sized recessed ceiling spotlights from Iguzzini that allow to regulate the graduation of light.

The most outstanding piece of furniture in the living room area is undoubtedly the large library, made of zebrano wood and custom-made for the space.

The straw color and the numerous black bands that characterize this type of wood make it a singular piece that brings a touch of color and distinctiveness to the entire living room.

A library in which we incorporate an arrangement -increasingly demanded in luxury home decor-composed of integrated TV and steam fireplace recessed in the lower part.

In terms of volumetry is very interesting, the game of open and closed spaces, in which we also added a showcase with aluminum frames in black. Also, it is key in this piece of furniture, the role of indirect lighting and the integration of the audio system.

In contrast to the library furniture, an L-shaped corner sofa was made in a warm white sheepskin fabric with a dark brown leatherette structure. A contrasting technique that adds a sophisticated touch of uniqueness.

The base of the sofa is, at the same time, a shelf on which is also supported a small console located just to one side of the sofa and which also gives it a volumetric point. A surface that becomes an extension of the sofa and acts as a side table where to place decorative items, books or, as in this case, a table lamp.

In addition, the premium furniture, a careful selection of materials and warm autumn living room decor that together create a warm and cozy atmosphere for this living room with luxury interior decor creating a sober and elegant atmosphere.

Upon request, the kitchen was the space that needed a major renovation. Because both in terms of design and functionality, it was outdated and had the handicap of having little surface in square meters and only a small window as a point of entry of light.

Moreover, the house in its original state presented a proposed U-shaped kitchen with very little space, which Molins Design had to transform into a modern and functional kitchen.

Therefore, in the new kitchen design, the choice of materials and colors were very important, as well as the new distribution to ensure that the new space will have three important aspects: good lighting, a functional distribution and maximum optimization of space.

A kitchen of small dimensions in which all the corners have been optimized to the maximum and the sensation of depth and visual amplitude has been enhanced. A kitchen with very modern and sophisticated elements that meets the requirements and trends in kitchen design today.

The custom-made furniture set is composed of base units and wall units in sand-colored melamine with a glossy finish that creates a practical and functional work area, while providing a sense of order and optimizing storage space.

The L-shaped work area in a sophisticated and timeless white marble with golden veins of Abkstone allows obtaining both a cutting sink and a practical cooking area with hidden induction.  Enhances a very clean visual, as well as a bright and elegant atmosphere.

Other important details at the level of functionality and that allow to enjoy more space are the arrangement of appliances such as oven and microwave vertically . As well as the placement of a backlit dish cabinet with transparent glass doors and an elegant black outline that allow to see the interior and facilitate access.

To give a greater sense of spaciousness and visual continuity, the main wall that comes from the hall and is free of furniture, was coated in the same smoked mirror used in the entrance area.

On the same wall and to optimize the space, a suspended bar was raised as an office area with a hidden TV in the kitchen within the same paneling. A little trick to introduce a TV in the kitchen and that allows to reduce the visual noise, becoming one of the most outstanding details of the project.
