Mila Apartment
This intervention is based on the use of the existing parquet flooring as a neutral base on which to start working.
Although it may condition the starting point of the project, we have a common thread to pull from at an aesthetic level.
Seeking practical and functional spaces in perfect harmony
The Mila Apartment project has a close link with the InProcess office design project, one of our most relevant commercial projects, given that the same owner is involved.
This new domestic intervention is a clear response to the need to make our living environment a balanced and harmonious space.
It is no coincidence that the general trend in the design world is going for soft chromatic trends. In fact, whites and pastel shades are becoming the usual colour palette choice. Furthermore, textures of natural origin and with a “soft” appearance are used in the upholstery of many of sofas and armchairs in the projects that are being presented as a trend in the publications of specialised magazines.
Total renovation of the fireplace
In terms of form, we started from the original fireplace wall elevation that was not working. Therefore, the property asked us for an organizational change; a renovation that would provide practical and functional spaces.
We had to give the fireplace wall a new covering, something that at the same time would provide us with a storage space for all the audio and video systems, but also to include the space for the fireplace itself.
Contrasting materials
The new front of the ensemble was set up on the front plane of the fireplace. In this way, all the irregularities of the building’s installations were included in the volume of the unit, helping to visualize the whole complex on the same level.
For this purpose, we played with the combination of oak wood paneling in a natural color, with a large format porcelain tile in a light tone by Cosentino that gave us the touch of contrast.

Iconic designs by Molins Design
One of the characteristic pieces, which we have already designed for some of our most important projects, is the overlapping coffee table.
This type of piece allows us to place, simultaneously and on the same plane, a work surface and a pouf. Undoubtedly, a very comfortable combination for everyday use.

In the partial refurbishment of this house, we also intervened in the design of the dining room.
This area, which shares space with the living room, is equipped with a large dining table and a set of chairs with armrests, upholstered in leatherette by Andrew World.
The carpet, custom-made by Cotlin, allows us to create a space in full chromatic harmony with the rest of the rooms on the surface, in which the white and beige tones stand out, allowing us to design a space that transmits a greater sensation of light and spaciousness.
A little terrace with views
This flat located in Les Tres Torres, in the upper area of Barcelona, has some terraces in which we also intervened decoratively.
For the terrace located in the living and dining room area we chose 2 comfortable armchairs and a side table from the Cala collection by Kettal, creating a harmonious set to enjoy relaxing moments outdoors.
