Pruz House
In the Pruz home, the concepts of style and comfort come together perfectly. Our intervention led us to propose the decoration for a house with open spaces. The result was particularly successful in the living and dining room area.
In this area, of large dimensions, we have different openings to the outside. In addition to a magnificent entry of natural light that directly affects every corner of the room.
At the beginning of the renovation project we discovered a visual and physical obstacle in the living room, caused by the presence of the air conditioning machinery. So, to solve it, we created a spectacular custom-designed bookcase. All of this to camouflage the air conditioning unit.
In fact, the bookcase is made of varnished oak veneer and stained to match the parquet, with black lacquered niches and gold lacobel in the background, to which we added LED strips.
To create a comfortable and cosy living area, we made the seats to measure. That is to say, these are made up of a corner sofa upholstered in Güell Lamadrid fabric and two armless Dover armchairs in taupe velvet from the same firm.
In turn, the coffee table is an exclusive design by our team, formed by a T-shaped base lacquered in metallic colour. And a pouffe with wheels upholstered with imitation colt leather fabric.
This area clearly shows the definition of the Pruz home as a house with open, luminous and functional spaces.
From Molins Design we present our intervention in the Vivienda Pruz. A house located in a new building in the Turó Park area of Barcelona.
Undoubtedly, in this project we worked on the decoration for a house with open spaces. This property was completely refurbished, as far as the architectural design was concerned. The interior of the house was demolished, but the original façade was preserved. The interior of the house has been converted into a modern style property, which maintains the beauty and elegance of its classic exterior façade.
Our team of architects and decorators worked on this decorative intervention with two main objectives. On the one hand, with the unification of spaces through the use of different decorative items. And, on the other, with the creation of essential furniture for this home following the ‘open space’ technique.
In this interior design project focused on a house with open spaces and a complete renovation, we intervened in several areas. We took care of the entrance hall, the living-dining room, the kitchen with office area, the utility room, the study-purpose area, the courtesy bathroom, the master suite with bathroom and two children’s bedrooms with their corresponding bathroom.
The dining table area is located next to the living area and presents an original proposal. All this, thanks to the design of the dining bench attached to the wall. This accessory is upholstered with fabric from Les Créations de la Maison, instead of the traditional chairs. In this case, we kept in line with the idea of unifying areas for a house with open spaces.
The dining table is the Prora model, with a black frosted glass top and black legs by Bonaldo. The set of chairs, with golden studs, are a design by our team. They, in turn, are upholstered in the same fabric as the one used for the bench, and the suspended lamps are by Prandina.
Thanks to the two sliding doors, located on both sides of the dining table, we manage to differentiate a multifunctional space. Undoubtedly, a space that has a living area with a television and an office. And which, in turn, is also a games room for the youngest members of the household. In any case, both spaces, highlighted by the decoration for an elegant and dream home.
We continue with the premise of unifying areas to get the most out of the square metres. This is one of the objectives in the design of houses with open spaces.
So in this area located next to the dining room, we carried out a precise intervention to provide the house with a complete office area. This room, custom-designed by Molins Design, also has a sitting area for watching television. In it we find a sofa-bed made to measure by our studio with fabric from Les Créations de la Maison.
The chairs in the study area are the Bob model by Ondarreta. Upholstered by our studio with Güell Lamadrid fabric. The wallpaper on the wall behind the sofa is by Andrew Martin and the wall lights are the Lampe Grass model by DCW Éditions.
The entrance hall, located next to the living area and the corridor leading to the other rooms of the house has a circular table with a black lacquered steel base and marble top made by our team of professionals, to which we added a round pouf, upholstered with Kvadrat fabric, and a set of three different-height suspended lamps from the firm Oluce.
This is the starting point for a modern house with open spaces and full of light.
For the kitchen-integrated office area we wanted to propose a series of elements in which quality and design are present in each piece.
The office table is the black Oayama model by Gubi, the chairs are by Oliver B and the suspended lamp is the Scraplight Disc Suspension design by Graypants.
The utility room and ironing area, located next to the kitchen, is designed as a multifunctional space, thanks to the installation of a closet that hides a 90cm folding bed, custom-made by our interior design studio, the ironing table, also made by Molins Design, and the rest of the cabinets and elements that we created to design an equally comfortable and practical space.
The courtesy bathroom that serves the day area stands out for the application of a stuccoed wall in ochre tones, which adds texture and depth to a minimal space, full of personality and decorative style.
Undoubtedly, the decoration for a house with open spaces like the Pruz home has a thousand and one details.
The main challenge of our intervention in the suite was, of course, to enlarge the available space.
For this reason, we created a panelling with a set of mirrors, with which we managed to gain a few more metres and greater visual depth. In addition, the use of neutral and light tones allowed us to bring a greater sense of light to a really comfortable and welcoming space.
The original headboard, designed by our team, is upholstered in Osborne & Little fabric in the centre and the sides are made of oak veneer with horizontal veins. Undoubtedly, a material with which we managed to create a very flattering contrast with the ecru lacquered bedside tables, also created by Molins Design, and the Pleat Box pendant lamps by Marset.
In addition, opposite the bed, we designed a wall paneling with a TV cabinet in varnished and stained oak veneer. Along with two upholstered panels in Osborne & Little fabric and mirror.
To design the bathroom in the master suite, we used the same chromatic range as that chosen in the bedroom, although we gave greater prominence to the wall tones, in coppery-brown, which add sophistication and contrast to a space in which the rest of the elements are in pristine white.
And, as you will see below, the decoration for a house like this hides great accessories and design elements.
The bathroom furniture, which has two washbasins, is a design by our team in matt lacquered-white, and consists of a two-drawer unit with interior dividers, a base unit with two drawers and a niche.
For the bathroom accessories we chose a complete series from the Bath Life range by Cosmic, the decorative accessories are by Decor Walther and the porcelain chosen floor tile is the Floss Smoky model by Living Ceramics.
In this room we have also opted for an open space design. It is a spacious, comfortable bathroom that provides the necessary privacy.
Finally, we discover the children’s bedrooms, two rooms designed entirely by our team of professionals. The large amount of natural light favours an open space design.
In the bedroom of the owners’ daughter, in which the white and fuchsia colours stand out, we made the trundle bed to measure. Also, the study area and the radiator cover unit in white, while the shelves and suspended modules with drawers are lacquered in fuchsia pink. The orange chair is the Pure Loop model by Infiniti Design and the table lamp is by Vibia.
For the children’s bedroom we also made to measure all the furniture consisting of two trundle beds arranged in an ‘L’ shape. The desk top and the suspended bookcase, lacquered pieces in a grey tone, which contrasts with the blue elements added. Like the chairs on castors by Infiniti Design, the bedspreads made with Chivasso fabric and the decorative complements chosen.
In the children’s bathroom, we also designed a vanity unit with drawers and doors. Lacquered in pure white and we added bathroom accessories from the Bath Life series by Cosmic.
