Saona Loft
In this luxury loft in Barcelona, the living area, the dining room and the kitchen become the largest shared rooms.
In the living room we took advantage of the back of the sofa to introduce a piece of furniture as a “folding screen”. This has a double function: it hides the back of the sofa, but at the same time it unifies the space with the dining table, next to the eat-in kitchen.
In the living room we added a corner sofa upholstered with fabric from Les Créations de la Maison, in a dark grey tone. Together with a coffee table and round puff, designed by our team, and a round rug also from Papiol, as elements that break with the uniformity and straightness of the space.
Singular interior design for a luxury loft in Barcelona
In today’s project we highlight the renovation of a luxury loft in Barcelona; a single-family home located at the foot of Collserola’s natural park, with privileged views towards the city.
This design loft was adapted to the needs of several members in the family. In other words, its interior architecture was designed taking into account each inhabitant’s needs. Therefore, the project had several private and individualised spaces, as weel as shared services and spaces for all family members.
In this precious project, the designers and decorators of Molins Design wanted to create a space that could be totally different from the rest. The basic premise was to make the most of the space, placing generally functional pieces without neglecting the importance of the entry of natural light and the installation of good lighting in each room.
In this case, elegance is very present in this loft-style house, thanks to the careful definition of the finishes. It is also due to the right choice of sober and neutral tones, which evoke the search for that comfort and timelessness the owners desired.
For the bedrooms we decided to create a design including bathroom and dressing room. The important thing, at this point, was to make full use of the space and expand it as much as possible to make it much more functional.
The headboard, the bedside tables and the desk area are an exclusive design by Molins, in a sober yet comfortable and cosy style.
“A skylight brings natural light into a perfectly equipped open dressing room"
Open wardrobes, custom-designed by our studio in oak veneer, and overhead light from the natural skylight on the roof, offers room for everything in this generous walk-in wardrobe closet.
Its composition allows to keep personal belongings tidy and accessible at the same time.
