Engel & Völkers Barcelona
For this interior design project, preserving the aesthetics and criteria defined by the headquarters located in Hamburg was necessary and essential.
Therefore, in the interior design and proposed decoration we maintained the space’s chromatic line, in which red, white and black mark the general aesthetics in Engel&Völkers’ offices.
Structurally, we managed to increase the available surface area and double the office space’s m2, by merging with the old adjacent office.
In addition, the new layout includes a small office annex, which expands all the Engel & Völkers office in Barcelona’s rooms. For the space’s common elements, we chose a tiled Black & Color 990 black carpet by Alterra, a technical material that provides comfort underfoot and acoustic isolation to the space.
The central removable ceiling, made of oak veneer, is a design by our team, and the motorized screens by Mottura.
New interior design in Engel&Völkers’s offices in Barcelona
Commercial or contract interior design forms part of our most demanding interior design projects. In fact, at Molins Design we have carried out the complete refurbishment of many modern office interiors. Today we bring you one of those architecture and office decoration projects; an interior design in which we took into account both the space’s design and decoration, as well as a new architectural proposal for each of the available spaces.
The offices are located on Avenida Sarrià, next to the central Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona.
A department that, today, has become the largest office or operations centre of the Engel & Völkers delegation in Spain and Portugal. The aim of this refurbishment was to create a pleasant and comfortable area, both for working and for holding relaxed meetings.
Blueprint elevation of the desk area
New trends in office interior design and decoration were taken into account when choosing the furniture and other accessories for the space. Our team of decorators projected a clear idea of utility, functionality and elegance in this workspace.
To achieve this, we harmoniously combined the chromatic range defined by the company with the incorporated furniture and decorative elements which best combined with the final architecture of the space.
The swivel executive chair is an ergonomic model with a chromed aluminium base and leather seat by Vitra, the sofa is a design upholstered by Molins Design with fabric by Fernando Salinero, as well as the Efe model armchairs, made of grey lacquered oak and upholstered with fabric by Güell Lamadrid.
The coffee table is a design by our studio with a black lacquered base and Carrara marble top.
In addition, to take full advantage of the natural light we decided to keep the large windows from which you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Barcelona city.
