Ginger Apartment
We enter into the reform of this 300 m2 art and decoration apartment in Madrida full of art and decoration. In the hall of this spectacular home we can already sense what will be the aesthetic tone of the rest of the rooms. Spaces in which art and decoration, as well as antique pieces, acquire special relevance. All this, to enjoy a home with a lot of character and personality thanks, especially, to the original works of art.
The desk and the chest of drawers, belonging to the property, were meticulously restored by Molins Design. Something to ensure the integrity and originality of these artistic works of such historical and aesthetic value.
Art and decoration for apartment in Madrid
In interior design it is essential to adapt homes to generational changes that are happening in our life sequences.
Hence this spectacular reform of an apartment of 300m2. A second integral intervention on the interior design for a single-family house with a lot of art and decoration.
It is really satisfying for our team to discover how our clients visit us periodically. All this, to adapt their daily spaces to the generation changes that are taking place in their lives.
The case of Ginger Apartment is a good example of this. Update after update, we have been adapting a large apartment. To finally turn it into a spectacular apartment full of decoration and art in Madrid.
Of course, there are interventions in which taking into account the artistic works available in the property to decorate with art has a special importance. Therefore, the work of selection and adaptation of the different spaces to decorate with works of art, ends up defining the aesthetic character of the space itself.
Therefore, far from trying to mimic the pieces with the environment, in this reform of a 300 m2 apartment in Madrid, we decided to do the opposite. In addition, the original works of art that dress the apartment had to stand out and take the prominence they deserved.
At this point is where the work of selection of lighting equipment takes special importance. In fact, this factor has been the key to success so that works of art in paintings and original sculptures are perceived in all their splendor.
It is clear that when the reform is undertaken with art and decoration for an apartment of 300 m2 in Madrid can have whims. Therefore, the owners contacted us with the aim of converting one of the three lounges that has the day area of this apartment, in a fantastic and glamorous bar with various types of artwork. They wanted to remodel this space to transform it into a meeting place for family and friends decorated with art and style.
With the children already in college, allocating a few meters to this task, the return on every square meter of the intervention was guaranteed and justified. As a consequence of the classic character they wanted to give to the room, we decided to travel aesthetically to a New York hotel cocktail bar.
A New York-style bar
To design one of the main pieces of this space, the bar counter, we chose black marble with white veins, the Dark Marquina model by Sapiestone, as an essential material. This element becomes almost an art sculpture and ensures a touch of distinction and elegance on which to serve cocktails.
The chromatic contrast was implemented in orange tones through the different upholstery elements. Stools and sofas dress at night this distinguished meeting and enjoyment space full of art and decoration. The stools chosen, by Ingenia Contract, are upholstered in The Grand Slam Tournament fabric by Carlucci.
The suspended lamps chosen, the Bamboo XS Model by Forestier, are a wonderful union of natural materials with a modern design, in which the lampshade is designed as a symmetrical network of bamboo struts that give a luminous and airy feeling.
Stylish furniture and accessories

In the master bedroom the transformation was total. The dressing room, the bathroom and the bedroom were changed. Similarly, a change in the location of one of the partitions allowed to provide the sink with a few extra centimeters.
This bedroom is undoubtedly one of the most well-appointed pieces of the set and a clear example of how to decorate the rooms of the house with paintings and art. Being a room of generous space, the script allowed us to place different ornaments and modern and functional accessories, but always keeping the art and decoration as protagonists.
Therefore, we installed a stool in front of the bed from Marie’s Corner upholstered with a colorful fabric by Pierre Frey, and a large chest of drawers, which doubles as a support console. This furniture is made of oak stained to match the color of the general parquet.
Two large bedside tables take the volume and the appropriate proportion to the width of the transversal space. In addition, they serve as support in the daily functionality. The colorful bedspread is, by all accounts, the piece that gives the ensemble the magic and brightness appropriate to the personality of the guests.
A luxurious bathroom to share
A change in the location of one of the partitions allowed to provide the bathroom of the suite of a few more centimeters, making possible a change of distribution, taking more prominence the furniture of the sinks and being able to install a sink for each member.
A bathroom that becomes another artistic work that adds to the existing art and decoration in this apartment in Madrid.
In white and rose gold
The wall covering chosen to design this bathroom, by Marazzi, allows us to play with the white color and rose gold details and accessories, to create a space with a luxurious and eminently elegant character.
We chose a Mapini bathroom vanity on top of which we installed two Polaris round basins from Solid Surface by Bathco and faucets with barrel and actuator in a matte rose gold finish by Bongio.
The large backlit mirror from AGC occupies much of the front of the wall to multiply the feeling of spaciousness and brightness of the space.

Ginger Apartment House Tour
This project was born from the need to adapt the home to the generational changes that are taking place. A second integral intervention with a lot of art and decoration in a 300m2 apartment in Madrid.
A project where art, decoration and the original works of art of the property are of special importance, and how these are placed to decorate this authentic and original home.
A more functional youth bedroom
For the bedroom of the youngest son of the owners of this fabulous apartment we designed a set of furniture consisting of a closet, bookcase, study table, bed and shelves. All this, with interior melamine argila that allows us to enjoy a more functional and appropriate to the age of the son space.
In the reform of this 300 m2 apartment in Madrid full of art and decoration, we wanted to complete the intervention in bedrooms with an original wallpaper Inventor Newton Coffee by Andrew Martin. In addition to a table lamp by DCW Éditions and cushions made by our team of interior designers with Pierre Frey fabric.
