Ginger Apartment
In the entrance hall of this spectacular home, we can already sense the aesthetic tone of the rest of the rooms, in which art and antique pieces take on special relevance, to enjoy a home with a lot of character and personality.
Both the writing desk and the chest of drawers belonging to the property were meticulously restored by Molins Design, to guarantee the integrity and originality of these pieces of such historical and aesthetic value.
Artful renovation of an elegant flat
In interior design it is essential to adapt homes to the generational changes that occur in our life sequences.
Hence this spectacular refurbishment of a 300m2 flat; a second complete intervention on the interior design of a stylish and dedicated single-family home.
It is really satisfying for our team to discover how our clients visit us periodically to adapt their daily spaces to the changes of generation that are taking place in their lives.
The case of Ginger Apartment is a good example of this. Update after update, we have been adapting a large flat, to turn it into the spectacular space it is today.
There are interventions in which the artistic heritage of the property is of special importance. For this reason, the work of selection and adaptation to the different spaces, of such pictorial personalities, ends up defining the aesthetic character of the space itself.
Far from trying to blend the pieces into their surroundings, we decided to do the opposite. The works of art that dress the flat had to stand out and take on the prominence they deserved. This is where the selection of the lighting equipment takes on special importance.
In fact, this factor has been the key to success so that canvases and tapestries are perceived in all their splendour.
The owners contacted us with the aim of converting one of the three lounges in the day area of this flat into a fantastic and glamorous bar. They wanted to remodel this space to transform it into a meeting place for family and friends.
As the children were already at university, allocating a few metres to leisure area was justified. Given the classic character they wanted to give to the room, we decided to travel aesthetically to a New York hotel cocktail bar.
A New York-style bar
To design one of the main pieces of this space, the bar, we chose black marble with white veins, the Dark Marquina model by Sapiestone, as the essential material.
This element ensures a touch of distinction and elegance on which to serve cocktails. The chromatic contrast was implemented in orange tones through the different upholstery elements. Stools and sofas dress up this distinguished meeting and enjoyment space at night.
The chosen stools, by Ingenia Contract, are upholstered in The Grand Slam Tournament fabric by Carlucci.
The suspended lamps, the Bamboo XS Model by Forestier, are a wonderful union of natural materials with a modern design, in which the lampshade is designed as a symmetrical network of bamboo struts that give a luminous and airy sensation.
Stylish furniture and accessories

In the master bedroom the transformation was complete. The dressing room, the bathroom and the bedroom were changed. Similarly, a change in the location of one of the partitions allowed the washbasin to be given a few extra centimetres.
This bedroom is undoubtedly one of the most well-appointed rooms in the complex. Being a room with generous space, the script allowed us to place different ornaments and modern and functional accessories. For this reason, we installed a stool in front of the bed by Marie’s Corner upholstered with a colourful fabric by Pierre Frey, and a large chest of drawers, which also acts as a support console. This furniture is made of oak stained to match the colour of the general parquet.
Two large bedside tables take up the volume and proportion appropriate to the width of the transversal space. They also serve as a support for everyday functionality. The colourful bedspread is the piece that gives the ensemble the magic and brightness to match the personality of the guests.
A luxurious bathroom to share
A change in the location of one of the partitions allowed the suite’s bathroom to be gifted with a few extra centimetres, making it possible to change the layout, giving the washbasin unit more prominence and making it possible to install a washbasin for each member.
In white and rose gold
The cladding chosen to design this bathroom, by Marazzi, allows us to play with white and rose gold details and accessories to create a space with a luxurious and eminently elegant character.
We chose a bathroom vanity unit by Mapini on which we installed two Polaris round washbasins from Solid Surface by Bathco and taps with spout and actuator in a matt rose gold finish by Bongio.
The large backlit mirror by AGC occupies a large part of the front of the wall, the front of the wall to multiply the sensation of spaciousness and luminosity of the space.

Shower area
Instead of the traditional wall-mounted bathtub, we chose the shower format for the water area.
We used the same type of cladding as the rest of the bathroom for the inside of the shower and fitted it with a Wellness shower tap in a matt rose gold finish by Bongio, matching the rest of the basin taps and the towel rail.

Ginger Apartment House Tour
This project was born from the need to adapt the home to the generational changes that are taking place. A second integral intervention in a 300m2 flat; on the interior design for a stylish and dedicated single-family house.
A more functional youth bedroom
For the bedroom of this marvellous flat’s owner’s youngest son, we designed a bespoke set of furniture consisting of a wardrobe, bookcase, study table, bed and shelving with an argila melamine interior that allows us to enjoy a more functional space suitable for the son’s age.
We completed the intervention with an original wallpaper Inventor Newton Coffee by Andrew Martin, a table lamp by DCW Éditions and cushions made by our team of interior designers with fabrics by Pierre Frey.
