XUP-XUP RESTAURANTE

Designed for the Arts Catering group, Xup Xup was the "gastronomic stop" of the Casadecor BCN edition in 2009. A unique experience for the 5 senses.

Located in the semi-basement of the particular modernist building of the Llorens House, located on the corner between Enric Granados and Corsica Street, in the Eixample Barcelonés, the space for the restaurant is distributed through three rooms intentionally differentiated in terms of interior design It refers, but with a common thread: the gastronomic utensils used at the beginning of the century.

Thus, in each of the rooms of the restaurant we wanted to pay tribute to those utensils whose use has lasted decade after decade such as the porrón, the mortar or the wine boot, among others.

The result is a restaurant that will invite you to enjoy a complete gastronomic experience, where the sight, taste, touch, hearing and smell will merge into a unique experience.

THE WINE

In the first of the rooms, the objects around wine and cava are the main protagonists. In this sense, one of the walls has been covered with old cork stoppers used in large barrels. Porrones de vino converted into table lamps

“MOCADOR DE FER FARCELLS”

Canvases made with the fabric of the "fer farcells mocha" explode in walls and ceiling, being the basic colors of the handkerchief (black, orange and brown) the chromatic influence of the space.

THE MORTAR

In the second room, it will be the mortar and its green and yellow colors that will fuse in the space, through the walls, chairs and cushions. An oversized replica of the particular green spot of the mortar will be the star of one of the main walls, sharing prominence with a trunk of pine wood carved in a single piece of 7mtrs, which will serve as a bar to share with other diners.

WINE BOOT

In the privé next to the 2nd room, we wanted to pay homage to the wine boot, and its more traditional reference colors such as red, black and natural leather, reinterpreting a classic boot classic as a main lamparón illuminate the only round table for 8 people in the restaurant, lacquered in blood red, which will make this room an endearing dining room with endless tablecloths.
